Office Furniture - Complaint
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I bought two desks and a shelf May 23rd. Furniture was not delivered until June 27th. Two out of the three items were damaged. Set up second delivery of goods July 11th. Large desk was still damaged. One of the shelves on my shelf unit was supposed to arrive by UPS in a few weeks...it never did! Now after Two and a half months I have 1 desk and a broken shelf. I asked if I could just cancel my order of the second desk, since every time they deliver it damaged. But Ashley furniture won't refund my money unless I drive down to their store. They won't refund the $80 for the delivery charge but they will give an $80 in store credit. (As if I would ever walk into that store and purchase again) The correct thing to do for your customer is to apologize for wasting my time while I wait around for my delivery of damaged office furniture. Then refund me my $80 delivery charge that I paid for out of CONVIENCE. At this point I could have rented a Uhaul for $29 and picked up my furniture myself. Ashley will sell you furniture and take the cash. But good luck if the try to deliver it or you want some cash back. This place will have a hard time staying in business. I'm buying from RCWilley and Walker from now on!
