Heartland America - Convection Oven Is Fantastic
We recently purchased a convection oven from Heartland America, and we are ecstatic. We fell in love with the Nu-Wave oven, but could not afford one, then saw this convection oven in the Heartland America catalog for approximately half the price of the Nu-Wave. Don't get me wrong, I am not trashing the Nu-Wave, it is a great appliance. It uses a plastic dome that sits over the food and the heating unit and controls ait on top of that.
The HA item has a large tempered glass bowl that sits in a holder, and the control/heating unit is part of a tempered glass lid, here are two racks, one low and one high, and you can get a metal extender ring that allows for larger items like chickens, turkeys and hams.
Yesterday I prepared a roast rosemary chicken and baked potatoes in the oven, with corn on the cob in the nuker. It was delicious, if I do say so myself. Everything we have fixed in the unit is wonderful. Microwave speed, not heating up the kitchen and using far less energy than the regular oven, all for half the price of the better known Nu-Wave. We are selling off most of our other kitchen gadgets, as the convection oven has rendered them useless. Good work, Heartland!
