Subway - How Bad Can It Get? Don't Ask.
Philadelphia Steak and Cheese Sandwich - Complaint

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Y LOCATION, CALIFORNIA -- Philadelphia beef and cheese sandwich looked good so I got a friend to pick it up for me.
It was the WORST food I ever started to eat. I only ate the bread, lettuce, and tomato of 1/4 and threw the rest away. The beef used is my complaint. Every bite was pure gristle.
I tried to locate the owner to report my opinion. Service person said she would have the manager call me as he was not in. I left my number, but no return call.

I honestly don't understand how Subway gets away with serving such garbage. They advertise the name "Philadelphia Steak & Cheese" and unsuspecting customers think it must be good. Here's the real story.
I lived and worked in Philly for 52 years. Two years ago I moved to the suburbs to escape the increasing crime and high city wage tax. Being a "local" I knew where to get the best cheese steaks & hoagies. Subway didn't even exist so forget them. The real competition was in South Philly between Geno's and Pat's, located at 1219 S. 9th St. They are right across the street from each other and the competition is fierce! Campaigning Presidents (Bill Clinton & others) plus Rocky (Sly Stallone)and other high profile names make it a point to eat here. This is where you can get a true belly busting (with cheese wiz or without) authentic Philly Steak Sandwich. It is an absolutely delicious, melt in your mouth culinary delight. Start your diet tomorrow. For Subway to even imply that they can offer anything close to this is a joke. Don't waste your money.
