Airtran lost bags no help

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- Airtran tagged our bag for the first stop of our travel only. When we arrived at our destination our bag was not here. When we asked if they would refund the $20 checked bag fee we were told "no. we don't do that!" We have been unable to contact them in regards to whether our bag had been found at the last airport or not. Very poor customer service all in all. We are on our 8th wedding anniversary trip in San Juan and are at the beach with no bathing suits, flip flops, or dress clothes. They told us we had to wait 24 hrs to purchase anything before they would consider reimbursement. Absolutely ridiculous. will not be flying with Airtran again.

This sounds like what most airlines would do - wait at least a day or two before considering any kind of compensation. I hope the bag shows up very soon.
