CALIFORNIA -- TOYOTA CORPORATION does not care about the consumer. All they are interested is in marketing and moving their products, and in attaining huge profits in the process.

It took for congress to get involved to finally have Toyota's CEO accept blame for the malfunction in the accelerator pedals in some of their models that killed a number of people just a few years ago. In fact, they are still settling some of the law suits from that mess.

Their philosophy of conducting business has a direct impact in the unethical manner in which dealerships/distributors that represent Toyota by selling their products act towards the consumer. Just recently, one of their dealerships in Los Angeles, TOYOTA CENTRAL of downtown Los Angeles, had to fired four employees because they were tampering with the surveys. TOYOTA CENTRAL'S General Sales Manager, two of their Sales Manager, and a female from the CSI-Customer Satisfaction Index department were fired for erasing from the system customers that had just purchased or leased a vehicle from them, but were unhappy with the selling process thus ready to give a bad survey had Toyota Corporation called them or mailed a survey to get their opinions. It took for the intervention of Toyota Corporation and after several complaints from unhappy customers to give an ultimatum to Toyota Central to dispose of these employees. Toyota Corporation has only one system in place that is geared towards marketing and selling their products. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ASSET.......THE CONSUMER!

I couldn't get past the second paragraph, because I believe it contains grossly inaccurate statements.

The problem in a few serious accidents is believed to be a gas pedal and/or driver's foot getting stuck in the floor mat. The tragic accident with the highway patrol officer was one.

Toyota was vilified unjustly in that whole matter, in my opinion. Charming Senator Grassley has his dander up now hoping to resurrect that investigation, and we'll see if it results in anything.

EVERY business, large and small, is there to make money. The only "business" that is not is the Government, and they do not need to.

I do not know what you have against Toyota, but they make many fine cars

There is a big corporation out there that still puts the customer over making money?

The point of being in business is to make money, move products, etc...A company that really takes care of their customers, does so in order to continue being profitable.

The problem is that consumer tolerance for mediocre, or even bad service, had grown. We accept it, so it has become the norm.
