ALL, ALASKA -- I have heard this commercial three times today and am angry that a commercial company would use one of the world's most beautiful religious pieces to advertise their newest burger with cheese. The 'Ave Maria' is should not be used for this purpose. I am angry and will not patronize Arby's ever again. This is the ugliest thing they could have done, making light of religious music.

Music means different things to different people. You do not have to go there, you do not have to listen click or mute or turn it off.
It is a beautiful piece of music, and yes, I was disappointed that they used that music. I guess it is a heavy handed way to let consumers know it is heavenly food - they must sell chevys too....(only T&A sells to men that idea).
Sad

On the plus side, it makes me feel good to think of the song, especially being July and 90 degrees and all. Beautiful piece.

I really dig the vintage bicyclist's role in the commercial even wearing an authentic vintage helmet! Bicycling in advertising is huge these days!

I, like others, was disappointed in Arby's choice of music. I saw the commercial this evening, again, and it appears that Arby's may have listened to their public and changed the background music. If so, bravo for them.

I believe ARBY's made an embarrassing advertising error in selecting the deeply religious melody, AVE MARIA (changing the words), to sell cheese sandwiches. ARBY's commercial was most-likely meant to be funny, and lighthearted, but fell flat, insulting, upsetting, and shocking people with its poor choice in music. Indeed, people have the right to change channels, plug their ears, close their eyes, or shop elsewhere. BUT, advertiser's certainly realize they absolutely must choose carefully how they want to have their clients perceived through advertisement. Mocking the Catholic community and Her Blessed Mother was a terrible choice. The GOOD news? -- I've since noticed the ARBY's melody has not only been MUTED, but CHANGED to another song. I totally respect this decision and tip my hat in appreciation: Good save, ARBY'S family and ARBY's advertisers!
