Sprint - Deceptive Billing Practice
Monthly Mobile Phone Bill - Complaint
OVERLAND PARK, OHIO -- To whom it may concern,
i recently bought a new cell phone from sprint for my nephew who had recently signed up for the Ohio national guard. When I got my bill by e-mail this month I found I was now being charged a premium data change for $10,00 not only for the new phone but for 3 other phones I have in my account and have had for many years!!!!
I was never notified of such a charge taking place and I would have been reluctant to buy a new phone had I known it would trigger a $40.00 Charge a month from now on!!!!!
I have chatted for hours with a sprint representative as well as 2 other phone calls trying to get relief but to no avail. They all say that they have a rule that after 12/30/2011 any activity in your account will trigger a premium data charge on all “smart phones “ in your account.
I was never told of such a charge!!!! I can’t believe they can put a charge like that on because I bought a new phone!!! I can’t believe they can put a charge like that on without notifying me of my options!!!! I can’t believe they can put a charge of $500.00 A year on phones that have been in my account for years and should have grandfathered in and maintained the original contract !!! I can’t believe they can add $40.00 Month to my bill with no notification!!!
I can’t believe they can bill me for an additional $40.00 A month for the only reason I bought a new phone from them!!!!

I am tired of trying to talk sense with the sprint representatives I have spent so much time with already !!!
