OHIO -- I bought a Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer on 5-13-09 and paid $1354.68 cause everybody said they was the best ones to get and saved my tax money to buy it with. Just about a year later the water didn't fill right and Durocher's came out and changed the pump in it on the orders from the company. Just made another call to one of your repair people in Temperance and he charged 79.95 for the house call which I didn't think was bad cause the price of gas now days but wants $197.68 FOR THE PART AND $160.95 FOR LABOR ALONG WITH $21.52 FOR TAX.

I told my wife this is the last time we ever get another Energy Star Fisher & Paykel appliance and told the repair man that instead of getting it fixed I would just scrap it and buy a different one since they are giving a better warranty and the price will be a lot cheaper. To tell you the truth I can buy a new washer and dryer for the price I paid for the Fisher & Paykel washer. I'm going to make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and see how many people made complaints against them.

Unfortunately, F & P is an "accredited" BBB business, which means the BBB rating is worthless. It happens to be an "A+", which isn't a surprise because it appears most every "accredited" business has an "A" or an "A+".

The complaint details are visible on that site, and are revealing.
