Cigna Corporation - Cigna LTD says I get $300/mo more from SSDI than I do, so they refuse to pay difference
Long Term Disability - Complaint
I have suffered from both Mental Illness and Chronic Physical pain, which either are disabling, and both makes my life miserable. I was on SSDI until 2008 when in conjunction with my doctors, they felt I could return to work. I returned to work, then had multiple relapses with my mental illnesses. I had been on STD from my employer several times. In Sept 2011, I went out on disability for the 4th time in the 3 1/2 years I had been employed. My doctors felt due to my degrading conditions, that my disability had progressed to the point where I shouldn't be working. I contacted my employer who put me in touch with Cigna, the LTD company. They had sent me more and more requests to apply for SSDI through their company. Then insisted I send them a copy of my application, otherwise they would deny my application.
After I was approved, they sent me a letter stating that they were going to pay me 44% of the total amount they were supposed to be paying me. Stating that SSDI would be paying me the difference. The issue is, SSDI isn't paying me the 56% of the "Cigna Co, contractual Amount", but closer to 48% so Cigna owes me about $300/month since they started paying me. I've contacted them numerous times, and they have not returned my calls.
Cigna refuses to return my calls, and so I'm trying to find some way to get them to pay what they owe me.
