Time Warner Cable Complaint - 'Bait and Switch' sales techniques
I ordered Time Warner's Road Runner Internet Service and it was installed June 28th 2001.
At no time during my conversations with your sales associates or your installer was it mentioned that the monthly rate of $39.99 ($43.24 with tax) was a promotional offer for only 3 months and that the real cost of this monthly service is in fact $44.95 ($48.93 with tax).
I have no problem paying for a service that is truthfully advertised, but I resent being caught by what I believe are 'bait and switch' promotional sales tactics.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I will be happy to pay for the service at or below the rate it was originally advertised to me. I would appreciate that the service be as reliable as you advertise(without the frequent cable 'outages' we have experienced). I currently retain my old dial up service as a back-up for when the cable service is down!(This costs a further $15 a month)
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
