CVS Pharmacy - Serious complaint
prescription not filled properly and blaming it on the MD - Complaint
ELIZABETH AVE. FRANKLIN TWNSHP, NEW JERSEY -- The pharmacy (above) filled a prescription incorrectly and I had to return to the store three times before they were able to correct it. The first pharmacist said that the medical doctor wrote the prescription incorrectly. I replied that if it seems in any way ambiguous then someone should have called the doctor. Someone did when I was there. A message was left. I spoke to the nurse later at the doctor's office who told me that CVS said it was the mistake of the 'other' pharmacy from whom they obtained the prescription. This was untrue. CVS obtained the prescription electronically from the medical doctor. Someone there made a judgment, a guess, about the prescription. If there was a doubt, then someone from the pharmacy should have called me or called the doctor, and not take it upon himself to make a decision upon a guess. This is a medication that is absolutely needed for living, and this is the first time in 50 years of taking this medicine that I had to return to the pharmacy three times to get it and that a mistake of this nature was made. What is wrong with these people that work in this particular pharmacy?
