EAST PROVIDENCE, MASSACHUSETTS -- This store has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I bought my dress there from the half off section in the store. It was a buy it as it is. I brought my dress home and was trying it on to see if a veil matched and my mother in law saw that it had two makeup finger prints on the front. I know this was not caused by me because everyone who knows me knows I do not wear ANY makeup. It was from the sales women who was pinning the dress back to show me what alterations they could do. She was holding the pins in her mouth and the only thing I can think of was she got makeup on her finger when she removed the pin from her mouth. I called Ana's and explained the situation and told me flat out they would not help me because it was a 50% off dress, even if the stain was from them. I don't care if I am poor but I should not be punished by them because I can not afford a 1,400.00 dress. I am never going back and I am taking my business somewhere else. I am also not getting my bridesmaid dresses there either. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about going there. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!

Sadly, this is the downside of an "as-as" purchase. I really can't blame the store here, though I understand your theory is that this happened just before you bought it. I note that you aren't sure because you used the phrase "the only thing I can think of..."

Is there no way to have these fingerprints removed? Perhaps there is a professional out there who can get them out - it would be worth it to try.

I would bet a really good dry cleaner could get them out. They'd probably alter your dress if you want as well.

Find an independent alterations person do do whatever alterations you need and I'm sure a professional has seen a situation like this before and will know how to get the fingerprints off. Good luck and don't let this ruin your wedding.
