Suncoast Motion Picture Co. Informative - Return Policy - Movies, collectibles

Review by dlfndeb on 2005-12-11
WICHITA, KANSAS -- On December 9, 2005, I purchased a keychain that I was going to give as a gift but learned that the person I bought it for doesn't like the character. I went back to Suncoast in the Towne West Mall in Wichita, KS to return it for a refund and they advised me I couldn't because it was a "promotional item and once it leaves the store, it leaves the store.". I have never heard of a store not allowing a customer to return an item that is still in it's original package and with the original reciept!
I later called back to speak to a manager and was told they were "warned" about my call!

Promotional items are usually given in conjunction with another product (for instance if you got the keychain free with the purchase of a DVD). If you bought the keychain outright by itself, though, and you have the receipt to prove it, then you should be allowed to return it. Sounds odd that the manager was warned about you, though. Could there be more to this than you're saying...?
