Lowes Does Not Honor Their (Paid) Warranties
Maytag Washer - Complaint
CHANDLER, ARIZONA -- I bought a washer on sale and a 4 year extended warranty. The washer was received defective and Lowes sent a third party repairman who said he needed to order parts. After a month of calls, the repairman told me Lowes was supposed to call and they were replacing the unit.
After several calls to Lowes and being told I was getting a replacement, a final call was made and I was informed I was getting a check for the amount paid for the washer. Being a sale item I knew (as I'm sure they did as well) that I couldn't replace this with the same sale price. They also told me they "couldn't" refund my worthless 4 year warranty that I purchased.
Lowes is a corporation with the intent of making money. They do not care about you or me or providing quality merchandise or service. I strongly advise anyone, especially the young, naive and inexperienced hard working people out there to purchase any large item appliance or electronic equipment from someone established that backs up their sale. We buy all of our large items from SEARS. They DO honor their warranties and provide decent product.
One last item. The follow-up personnel from Lowes that deal with warranties are rude, short and lie.
