Dish Network - Honest Mistake by Husband
Installing of Dish Network - Complaint
BRISTOL, INDIANA -- My husband has terminal cancer. He has brain tumors. He was suppose to call DirectTV to get our DVR replaced. In his confusion, he called Dish Network. They came out installed their system and had him sign a two year agreement which we have no copy of.
When I came home and told him it was the wrong satellite provider, they informed him it was $420.00 to cancel it. DirectTV will pick up only $200 of that to reinstate. While on the phone with Dish Network today, they turned off our satellite. DirectTV cannot get here until Saturday. Dish is sending boxes for their stuff and we are stuck with over $300 of additional bills that we just do not need right now. I know my husband was wrong, but this is the last thing mentally he needed to have to deal with.
He looked like a spanked 3 year old when he had to tell me. I do not understand why money hungry companies have to be so mean when they have no idea of the damage they have done. Hopefully, someone at both companies will read this and not do it to someone who makes an honest mistake due to cancer.
