ST. CLOUD, MINNESOTA -- We couldn't wait to visit the Country Buffet after a Dr. Appt. as we live about one hour away, We were greeted kindly by the cashier, however as we began our great search for our lunch and sat down to eat. Our food was cold, not a great selection and not like the greatness it all usually appears.

They are at the very bottom of the Buffet Restaurants and their price reflects that. You have to really lower your expectations when eating there. Spend more and you get more.

The best buffet I ever ate at was in Harrah's Atlantic City. OMG was it good, the food choices are overwhelming. A fabulous Salad Bar, Soups, Steaks, Prime Rib, Crab Legs, Assorted Seafood etc. They have different food stations where you pick what you want then it's cooked fresh for you. Example: Chinese, A wide variety of dishes that is cooked exactly the way you want it. Steaks are cooked to order, not sitting in a tray. The Seafood is freshly broiled on a rotisserie. The dessert variety is endless, start your diet tomorrow. If you're in the area definitely check it out.

you, unfortunately, are comparing apples and oranges. No one should compare Las Vegas Hotel foods with the common folk food. Just not fair. I stopped going to Country Buffett in our area when then continually had empty pans that they wouldn't refill until the last crumb was gone. My money walked.

I went to Country Buffet once in or around 1993. I didn't find "greatness" there, but rather mediocrity. I assumed this was typical, but it was just one visit.
