Staples Complaint - Never send your computer through staples to be fixed
In november of this year, I sent my laptop in for repair because the CD rom drive would not stay on my system. They reseatted all the pins and cables and replaced the motherboard. I get it back and it worked for 8 hours and I had vertical lines across the screen. So i call them up to tell them and they sent another box to send it in for repair. When I was packing the notebook I noticed that the screws in the back were overtightened and cracked because of this. Also the screw for the screen was put in at an angle and was sticking up a bit. I called them and told them i wanted them to fix the damage they have done. Well I got it back from service a week later. Still had the same cracks, Only this time (what a shocker) it had a chunk out of the side by the port. 4 hours later guess what happened? You guessed it the lines were back. I called up customer service and they said they could expidite service again ( AS IF) I told them NO i was through with service. I even took the computer to a staples store where the store manager faxed claims and said "It is clearly identifiable that this laptop was damaged in the posession of your warranty service" you think that did any good? NOPE they still said they are going to send me a box to send it to service i told them HELL no would i send it back. Are they crazy or what? So i Called corporate offices again ( yeah they keep saying they will phone me back but never do) and finally got a supervisor to talk to me. She is supposed to phone me today, Its anyones guess if she does or not, but I dont look for it. I have already filed a compaint with the BBB on them.
