SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- We recently stayed at the Days Inn Alamo/Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. The air conditioner in our room only worked on low (totally unacceptable for the South Texas heat!) and the sink didn't drain properly. The cloth shower curtain smelled like a nasty wet towel.

Their Continental breakfast area (I really mean "tiny spot") and breakfast were pitiful. When we checked out, we were informed that we had to pay for the safe (that we didn't use and that is standard in all rooms) and for parking. These extra fees were not mentioned on their website when I made the reservations. San Antonio is a beautiful city with amazing sites and should not be spoiled but such a bad hotel.

There are many great hotels in that city, but the Days Inn Alamo/Riverwalk is definitely not one of them.

The "nominal fee" for the "available parking" is stated on the hotel's home page, in the "Hotel Overview". I agree with you that the AC should be functioning at full power.
