ARIZONA -- We had a mortgage and home equity line with Chase. Sold our home and paid off both. Purchased a new home thru Chase with current payments. Have a checking account with direct deposit with them as well. We have admittedly suffered in this economy. Getting back on track but it's slow going. Wanted only $3,000 for used car purchase. Chase's auto loans start at $7,500. I figured we'd get a car and make a lump sum payment from any $$ we didn't use from the loan. I applied, stating that payment could automatically be withdrawn monthly from our Chase checking acct. Decision was supposed to be given within 24 hrs. Our decision was given immediately. Denied. To me this means there was no human thought given to their decisions. Based solely on computer programming. Banking industry got a 2nd chance, what about the rest of us? I know Chase is in business to make a profit but what about loyalty? I mean, it's not like they lost $2 billion dollars or anything. Oh wait, they did.
