COATESVILLE,, PENNSYLVANIA -- Went to dr. [snip] for a foot issue on Oct. 12, 2011.As soon as I checked in, I was made to pay my co-pay even before being seen. ( Never had to in 65 years before.)Not happy with the diagnosis which I found out l was wrong anyway. Yesterday, Aug. 6, 2012, I received a copy of the charges ***10 *** moths later. I see everything was paid by my health insurance but my c0-pay which I had already paid. Now I notice an " encounter fee. " I want to know what an encounter fee even is. Since the bill was paid in full, this is obviously a scam to extort another few dollars from me. Nice deal for them if they pull this with every patient. This has occurred before here in pa. Guess most people would just pay the money. Not me ! *** This practice is both incompetent and dishonest ! *** Go elsewhere for foot care !
