La Fitness - Nasty Noisy Management

JOHNS CREEK, GEORGIA -- I asked the manager to turn down the music as it was so loud I was getting a headache and could not get through my workout; the manager who looks like she has never been to a gym in her life became belligerent and stated that she did not think it was too loud. Unbelievable! Other members are afraid of her as they don't want to get yelled at, and, don't see the point in asking her/complaining to her as she ignores our requests anyway...I have contacted corporate to no avail to date; certainly La Fitness can hire a better quality of people to represent their company even if this is Georgia.

Looking at some past reviews, yours included, about LA Fitness both here and on other sites, they don't seem view problems at their franchises with any great concern nor do they show much inclination to do anything about them. You might want to consider finding a different gym.

Why is everyone afraid of her? It seems strange that a bunch of gym regulars would fear someone who appears to have never used a gym. Just an observation.
Many people may like the loud music to get through their workout. I would guess that there are many that feel as you do, also. I bring my iPod and have my own workout soundtrack. If the music is too lout to hear your own headphones, then I'm sure most would agree that it's too loud and if you don't get resolution with the on-site management, then take it up and out. Regional management, yelp, BBB (although I'm not sure this is the typical case).
