Ashley furniture home store - Deceptive about no return policy
CORDOVA, TENNESSEE -- I recently bought a leather couch and chair from Ashley Furniture Home Store in Cordova, TN. When the pieces arrived I noticed a very strong smell--not your typical leather scent, but some chemical treatment smell--that made me not even want to be in the same room with it. Even after opening windows and airing the room out, the odor was still too strong for anyone to sit in te couch or chair. I called within 3 days wanting to return the pieces for a refund, but to my surprise (the sales representative never told me this while I was purchasing) there is a no return policy at this Ashley store. If I had known that before I made my purchase, I would've stayed far away from that place. In my opinion that is just a method to deliver substandard products and then keep the consumer's money when they are unsatisfied. Stay away from the cheap furniture Ashley makes and pay $100 or so more for furniture that you will be satisfied with--and that you can actually be refunded for I'd you aren't.
