Stay away from Electrolux appliances
Electrolux Icon cooktop and oven - Complaint
HARTLAND, WISCONSIN -- I was persuaded by Grand Appliance to purchase Electrolux appliances for my kitchen remodel. Grand Appliance was all too excited about the big rebate I would get for the appliances. The more you bought the higher the rebate. I purchased the Icon Cook-top, oven and microwave/convection oven. I refused to purchase the refrigerator due to all the problems I read about the ice maker. I did not have any negative information on the other appliances and I liked the way they looked. The install was 5/30. The cooktop stopped turning on in July (not even 2 months) and had to be replaced. To date I still do not have all the chrome finish pieces installed on the oven. The Electrolux representative indicated it was on back-order but I never received any time-frame of when it was to arrive. I was constantly harassing Grand Appliance for a resolution. I finally received 2 shipments a week ago. When it came time to install the piece it turned out to the be the wrong one. I emailed and called the Electrolux representative on 8/9 and he has not returned my messages. I am very unhappy and will recommend to anyone looking at appliances to stay away from Electrolux. The customer service is terrible!! These appliances are suppose to be higher end, but based on the issues and response I received from this company it is a far cry from higher end.
