Earthlink/One Communications - Phone/Data Service disasterous, Trouble Shooting/Customer Service Out To Lunch
Phone/Voice Over Data/Internet - Complaint
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN -- My company's experience with Earthlink/One Communications has been a disaster since day one. I was initially quoted $498/monthly for my service, but that was immediately raised to $610/monthly due to the tech/rep's total lack of understanding of the product and its integration into my business.
Since day one, the service interruption has been constant. The service goes down weekly/monthly anywhere from several hours to 3+ days. Could you imagine your business without phones or internet for these periods of time, regularly? The lost time/money we've experienced with this company is uncalculable.
In addition, it's VERY clear that their is a vast knowledge gap within their sales and service people. Plain and simple, very few people within their organization have any idea the products they sell, how to trouble shoot them and, for certain, how to implement/use them. It's actually quite comical at times. I've actually called service at times, and have been told, "you must be mistaken sir, we don't even offer VoiP services"....Really?
It's my understanding that this service/quality model I'm experiencing is not isolated to my company. I would certainly not recommend any company to switch to Earthlink/One Communications VoiP phone/data package.
I will certainly be changing services the day our iron-clad contract expires....unless, of course, Earthlink puts us out of business first.
