DIRECTV - Cancellation fee
EL SEQUNDO, CALIFORNIA -- June 2011, after seeing an free upgrade with DIRECTV, my husband called to get the free upgrade, they connected him with a verifier and before verifier came on the phone, he had an emergency call, the verifier came on and he kept telling the verifier he had to go and the verifier of course kept trying to read his script. There was no total agreement and sound communication in this conversation however upon cancelling service with DIRECTV after being a customer for over 11 years they are billing my credit card in the sum of $220.00 for early cancellation fee as they said the upgrade which was free had a 2 year contract with it. If DIRECTV was as honest and had as much integrity as they claim, their verifier would have said Mr. Lewis let me call you back at a more convenient time when you can understand what I'm saying and I can make sure you are hearing what I'm saying. But no they are more interested in a sell whether it is agreeable or not and of course the verifier is paid to get his script read irregardless.
