Lowe's/Whirlpool - Quality Assurance? Yea right..
Whirlpool Refrigerator - Complaint
HARRISONBURG, VIRGINIA -- After many years of dealing with an old refrigerator, my spouse and I finally decided for a new one. We went to Lowe's and decided on a brand new Whirlpool Refrigerator that was one of their mid-tier models - rather basic. We finally got it delivered to our apartment and were excited to hear it would be up and running within the next day! Finally, a refrigerator that ran quietly and didn't leak everywhere... or so we thought..
Immediately when we plugged the refrigerator in, I noticed the light bulb for the refrigerator portion was not working when I opened the door. Off to a great start.. A few days later, I noticed the refrigerator portion wasn't getting cold enough: it was around 65 degrees all the time- we had plenty of food in there, yet plenty of circulation. About a week had passed and I realized the brand new ice maker hadn't produced ANY ice - I checked the water line and it was filled and pressured with water. And soon after, ice built up in the back of the freezer and was creating a puddle all over the kitchen floor.
Are you KIDDING me. Broken light bulb, Broken defroster, Broken Fan, and Broken ice maker?? On a NEW Refrigerator? Quality Assurance my a**.
PS. I've had plenty of experiences with Lowe's before, and they have been excellent. I feel this may be more Whirlpool's fault.
