United Airlines - The Worst Airline Since Eastern
None or Poor Service from United Airlines - Complaint

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Have you heard the wonderful songs by David Carroll on YouTube entitled "United Breaks Guitars"?? This is a wonderful push-back by a creative Canadian musician who had his valuable guitar tossed and broken by the incompetents at United Airlines at O'Hare and decided not to take it lying down.
'Lest you think this is a sole example of United's modus operendi, no, au contraire, it is one of the many. United is repleat with callous, uncaring and largely indifferent employees and, in the case of David Carroll and many others, repleat with the policy of "the customer is wrong." Terrible that they consumed a decent airline, Continental, with a pitiful one. I have flown, largely against my will, nearly a million miles with United (someone else paying so I had no choice)and I can say truthfully that they truly are one of the worst, if not the worst, still surviving US "airline".
My most vivid memory of their kind service was, while in transit to the Iraq war, the United agent refused to check my bag--unless I paid $ hundreds--because I was three pounds overweight. I threw my precious goods I would need in Iraq in the trash and proceeded. Like David Carroll, I will always avoid them unless the future of mankind hangs in the balance. So many of my friends and colleagues feel the same way. United has no clue.
