RIVERSIDE, COLORADO -- Two days ago I ordered a Wi-Fi Bridge from Cisco.com. I got it today and upon opening the box, I noticed the item had scratches all over it. It obvious that the unit is a re-furbished one. I thought I'd give it a try anyway and after 2 hours I gave up since the software wouldn't load on my computer and called tech support. After 1 hour the tech couldn't get it going either and said he would call back. In the meantime I tried once again to get the item working. So finally I said enough is enough and called to ask for an RMA #. The representative told me I would have to pay for shipping the item back. She said in order for them to pay return shipping, the item would have to be deemed defective by a senior tech. This is the tech I've been waiting to call me back for the last 3 hours. When I ordered the item, I was told there was a 90 day return policy. I was never told they send out re-furbished items. The representative also told me this unit has never been sent out to anyone, even though it has scratches all over it and also had fingerprints on it. The box states it's Windows Vista compatible. I wonder how long this had been sitting in their warehouse. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Cisco.com.
