BELLFLOWER, CALIFORNIA -- We bought a two pound box of dark mixed. Some of the candy looked as though it had been frozen or refrigerated. Many pieces were stuck to the paper and other pieces. It was mostly nuts with only two creams. No carmels or truffles. After trying to salvage a few pieces we dumped the box in the trash. I called customer service to report this and was told-it had to be our fault. We will not buy See's again.

that is unfortunate, I have bought a lot of See's when going through the US - it makes a welcome gift. What you describe sound disappointing - it is not cheap and one would expect better from See's.
If you had photos - send a letter with photos - CSR sounds kind of empty headed.

There's different types of variety boxes you can buy at Sees. One of them is a nut version so there will be more candies with nuts. Maybe you accidentally picked up that kind of variety box. You can also create your own variety box. Someone dropped by a box of Sees candy to us a few weeks ago. It was just as delicious as I remembered. I wouldn't write them off after just one bad experience.
