FORT COLLINS, COLORADO -- I never buy pop from a machine anymore. It is always flat, no matter the brand or freshness. I think it is because it is bounced around in the back of a truck for a few thousand miles before it gets put into the machine.

I have just the opposite problem with soda. They always explode on me, and my husband told me it's due to living in such a high altitude here in Colorado.

Have you tried contacting Pepsi directly?

I swore off pop several years ago after I rotted one of my teeth with it. I've always had soft teeth and should have known better.

I don't know why this would be unique to soda sold in machines if it has to do with delivery. Skye made a good suggestion to contact Pepsi. I am currently trying to figure out a problem with Snapple and have called their 800# a few times.

All pop is bounced around in a delivery truck for hundreds or thousands of miles before being delivered to either a store shelf or a machine. I don't think it's the delivery method that is responsible for the flat taste though I am at a loss to figure out just what it is. I've never had this problem with any I've gotten from a machine but I rarely get pop from machines so I may have just been lucky enough to get the good ones.
