Davis Vision - Misleading Benefits
Contact Lens, Participating Providers - Complaint
Davis Vision sends you a list of participating providers on your Plan Benefits Statement, but beware. Some of those providers do not "participate" fully in the plan. Do not count on getting "Covered in Full Contacts" from Eyemasters. They refuse to order your prescribed contacts from Davis Vision bc they use a "third party supplier".
Therefore, you have no way of getting your "Davis Vision Collection" frames or contacts for the stated benefit of "covered in full". Besides that, the "Covered in Full Contacts" benefit does not cover a full year of contacts if you wear daily disposables or monthly disposables. It will only give you about 6 months worth of contacts for the "covered in full" benefit.
Eyemasters does not carry Davis Vision Collection frames either. No retail or independent office should be listed as a Participating Provider if they do not offer to "participate" in the FULL Davis Vision plan benefit offerings!!! Davis Vision should not design their benefits page to say "frequency - once every 12 months - covered in full contacts" if you are only getting 6 months worth of contacts depending on what kind of contacts your optometrist prescribes. Misleading!!
