Hertz Rental Cars - Over-Charged and Not Refunded

MESA AZ, ARIZONA -- Hertz over charged us triple what our charges should have been. We were charged $358.39 instead of $154.39. Not only did that happen, we still haven't been credited back our funds and it has been 12 days. I am extremely upset and I will never use Hertz again and also tell everyone I know what happened to us and to never use them either. This is the worst experience I have ever had in 30 years of renting cars. I want my money back!!!!!!!

You were charged a bit more than twice what you should have been charged (3x would be > $450).

Have you contacted Hertz, and did they agree to adjust the charge? What did they tell you? What were the differences in charges between what you expected and what is on the receipt?

The fact the OP "wants his money back" indicates that the rental was charged to a debit card, not a credit card. The OP seems upset that he did not get his money back immediately, yet 12 days does not seem too long.

The problem with using debit cards is that you are out the money, whereas if the op had used a credit card it would be no big deal because it would simply be a reduction in the amount he owed on the credit card, not money out of his account.
