THE GAMBIA -- I own a lumix panansonic DMC-FS35 here in The Gambia W Africa which was purchased in UK. After ONLY 6 weeks of minimal use the zoom apparatus has failed with screen giving the message SYSTEM ERROR - ZOOM. Can anyone advise what I should do to correct this ?

The error normally occurs when the rings for the zoom apparatus have become misaligned or stuck in the barrel. Generally, this will require a professional repair, and at 6 weeks should still be under warranty. There are several do it yourself fixes available with an internet search but I would not recommend them.
