Samsclub Auctions - I Won!!?

40" Phillips TV - Complaint

On 8/8 I won the bid for a 40" PHILLIPS TV. The order was shipped and I received the order 8/15/12. The box had several damaged areas, therefore, I opened the box to make sure the screen was not damaged. On 8/17/12, had an electrician come to install the television. That was when I discovered that the power cord, screws needed to attach the screen to base and manual were missing.

I immediately contacted both PHILLIPS and SAMS to give them an opportunity to remedy the situation. To date, I have not received the missing items for a "new TV". I am filing a complaint with the BBB, this is truly poor business practices.

Nine days is hardly slow service sufficient to complain about. Most of the power cords are standard, the screws probably are for sure, and manuals can be downloaded off the internet. This means that you can use the television while waiting for the official parts.

Perhaps the packet containing the manual, cord and screws were lost when the box was damaged during shipping? Who knows?
