Made a 4 star hotel reservation in downtown Salt Lake City in Feb., 2012 for 2 nights, arriving in Aug., 2012. Prepaid for both nights. While traveling in National Park in late July, got word 3 nights before arrival date in Salt Lake City that the hotel was now overbooked. Venere relocated us to an airport hotel; promised $100 food & drink plus extra $25 credit for inconvenience. Never got credits. Venere had my money for 6 months. I doubt they ever had a commitment from the hotel. What is needed is a good "class action lawyer"

Sounds like you got hosed and have a legitimate gripe, but I never understand everyone's desire to have a "class action". Lawyers are the only people that make money on a class action, and they usually get paid whether you do or not. I guess if all you want is revenge then it might be a route to take, but otherwise, a no-win situation.
