DETROIT, MICHIGAN -- I pulled copies of my credit report and found out that Detroit Edison Company reckless reporting derogatory to the credit reporting agencies that was says I was five months late on paying my bills which is a lie. As soon as this was showing up on my credit report I had tried numerous times to on contact Detroit Edison Company Complaint department and just got the royal run around them. I tried to reason with them for the pass three or four months with no resolves.

What I have learned is that Detroit Edison Company can destroy my credit and good name by stating that I’m six months behind or more days posted on my credit reports which is a lie because I have attach my payment history to the complaint form. What does it take to fight the in justice within the system!

There should be a set procedure for disputing an errant report. I would reference the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Basically, DTE will have 30 days to provide proof of the accuracy once they are notified. I think this route will be more effective than trying to get an answer out of DTE's complaint center.
