American Express - Long Time Customer NO More
American Express Travel - Complaint
Last month my wife tried using American Express Travel to book a trip to vist my sick Mother in Cary NC. After attempting for two hours to find the right flight to travel with two small children the computer sent her an error message sating that there was an error and to attempt again later.
Well, I came home from work several hours later to attempt once again. With success the second time we were able to book all the same flights except for one - our return flight we weren't able to get the same flight so we chose to come home a day earlier on that same time flight. Needless to say both attempts were granted while we were told that the first one did not. Now American Express is saying that since they weren't identical bookings then it was our attempt to trick them. GET THIS - now we have six tickets down to Cary NC and six tickets back for three of us (we also are traveling with an 8 month old on the lap)
Why didn't US AIR or AMEX TRAVEL notice that there were three identical names on the flight down to NC and at the connecting flight in PHILLY? AMEX had no problem charging me the several fee's per ticket (6) and now they tell me it is a US Air issue accepting NO responsiblity for their error message that they sent us during our first attempt.
