FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON -- I bought Gold Leaf Chicken quarters at the commissary yesterday and I can assure you that it is the poorest of all the poorest quality leg quarters. I was cleaning it yesterday and removed dirt and the skin looked like it sat on a dirty floor for days then picked up and packed to be sold. I am scared to feed it to my family, so I threw it away today. I would NOT buy this product and even TYSON chicken product after seeing how cruel they treat those chickens from birth to their last breath. I have never seen such nasty leg quarters until I bought the Gold Leaf product with dilapidated parts. Organic chicken is always a better choice if it is available.

I eat chicken quarters, regular ones from the store. They are always clean and appear to be high quality. I've never seen organic ones, and I personally don't need them. This product sounds really gross. Thanks for warning others.

and yes, organic free range chicken is always better than warehouse grown chicken.
