CORONA, CALIFORNIA -- We also have had the same experience with Levitz. They change the date of delivery, the furniture has been backordered. The furniture was damaged.
We finally cancelled our order on the 7th of November, today is the 19th of December and we have not received our refund as of yet. It was to be mailed on the 23rd of November and than the 28th and finally Orlando in Customer Service told
me the 7th of December. I was informed this morning after being on hold a short time of just 20 minutes that the check was not mailed until the 15th of Dec. I was promised that their bankruptcy would play no role in my refund what so
ever. Well this is not true, I was informed today that only a certain amount of checks can be cut from the money that the Courts allow. I was informed that the New CEO is Mark Scott but he cannot be reached by phone and that there is no assitant CEO, nor can you speak to anyone in accounting. Once you purchase your furniture you are on your own. The store you purchased your furniture thru will not help you, customer service people have no clue what the heck is going on. The delivery man will tell you as they are taking away your brand new DAMAGED FURNITURE,that they are doing more pickups of Damaged furniture than they are delivering NEW.
Save yourself TIME, FRUSTATION AND MONEY SHOP ELSEWHERE AND AVOID LEVITZ AT ALL COSTS.
