MIAMI, FLORIDA -- Yes ryoby is loosing quality of engeenering in light elctrical hand tools
had a jig saw that exploded when the going up and down mecanism crash the plastic body to get out. thathe machine has been replaced buy seller and is used in the workshop only for light dutys plywooud less than 3/4 " no more hardwood to cut with.
Beside, some of its classics purchased in 1988 ( made in japan) as the basic mitter is still running every days in my workshop and have been used each day for at list half an hour or more since That tool is still working vey well and is still very precise in cvross-cutting hard woods. To make the motor last Longer I have been using SINCE THE PURCHASING a freud thin kerf blade, nothing to say it runs well since 1988. In remains good in spite of heavy work sessions at installing wooden floor on thousand of sqf and large serial cuttings in producing pieces of furnitures. on important detail I mainly use it myself almos never lend it to other pro collegues
use with elctric transformer trhough all europe and west carribean .

I have a Ryobi electric trimmer that is about 13 years old and works almost like new, with only a little servicing over the years. I am afraid that their recent stuff does not last as well.
