NEW JERSEY -- A serious complaint about Hydroxatone...Was calling to pay my credit card bill one day. Somehow I in turn got sales people for Hydroxatone. They fast talked me into accepting a free trial offer of 90 second instanteffect wrinkle reducer. I gave my name address & Email. Then they (Hydroxatone Reps) said I would be charged shipping and handling of 3.95. So I said I didn't want the product. They said it was to late the the process had already started and, that I had to listen to the computer processing the order and that I could not speak while listening. I thought that sounded somewhat unreal so, I listened to the process and at the end I ask the Question would I be charged anything else on my credit card. They (the hydroxatone reps) interrupted and said that the process would not work if I continued to ask the computer questions. I said I didn’t want the product in the first place they said again... it was to late the process is in progress. So by that time I’m in tears. They said they were sorry but they could not do anything about it. So I received the free sample along with two jars of hydroxatone cream. Along with A bill for shipping and handling 6.95 plus the amount it cost to send the unwanted product back. Owe and something about a100dollar gift card that I said I didn’t want. How can you not stop such a simple process something is very fishy at Hydroxatone. Also the free sample was empty aint that a kick in the head. Thanks for nothing you got me this time. Won’t happen again..........

Sorry to tell you this but you are now in the "Auto Ship" program and you will receive a bottle every month for around $99.00 per month. That is why the "free" bottle only cost $3.95 for S&H. They now have your Credit Card information. Good luck canceling.

Were you calling your credit card company to pay your bill? If so how did you manage to get the hydroxytone people? Very weird. Why would you give them your credit card number for a product you didn't want? Need more details to really understand how you managed to end up in this situation.

If it was truly free, they would not be asking for your credit card information. Cancel with them, and then cancel your credit card, because as Melissa says, it's "Auto Ship" and they will continue to charge your credit card FOREVER.

They ask for the CC # so you can pay for the S&H. That is how they get your number to bill you once a month. They do not accept cash or money order.

I cannot stress enough that people need to be wary of "try it for free, just pay S&H" offers because when you call they only accept credit cards so that they have your CC# and they will bill you once a month because if the offer is 'try it for free and cancel after 14 days", the 14 days start as soon as you order NOT when you get the product, so by the time you get it and decide that you really don't want it. It's too late to cancel.

This is when pre-paids come in handy. They can only get what's on the card at the time and they can't keep charging it if you don't reload it.

Pre-paid cards. What a good idea.
