Direct Energy - Poor Customer Service....A month later....no power!
Electricity for Commercial Building - Complaint

FLORIDA -- I had called the customer service # for direct Energy, because they handle the commercial business for WTU. I should have known that it would be a problem, when I was transferred to 3 different departments before getting the correct department. My problem began there. I submitted an application for electric service and was told it would be 3 to 5 business days for the application to be processed. I waited 7 days and called and was told then needed more info. I then signed the application with the corrected info and sent it back to them.
Another week passed with no communication from then. Another representative told me she was taking over our application and would get it processed quickly. Today, two weeks later, I was told that since we are in a new month, new paperwork with the new date would have to be signed and re-submitted.
I called TXU and found out that I could set up an account with them with 15 minutes and our electricity will be turned on in 3 business days. Just like that I have an account # with TXU and confirmation of electricity! Wow and it takes Direct Energy 4 to 6 weeks to do what TXU did in 10 minutes. DONT CALL DIRECT ENERGY !!!!
