Staples - Poor Customer Service / Manager Response
PARAMUS, NEW JERSEY -- I had the worst customer service experience at the Staples on RT. 17 in Paramus. I was shopping for school supplies for 3 children on the second night of school. The store was a zoo. I waited on line for almost an hour. As I was walking out to my car I realized several of my items rang up incorrectly. 8 items to be exact did not ring up at the sale price indicated in the store / flier. I walked back in to the store, only minutes after checking out, and approached the customer service desk. I told the associate what happened and he casually told me that I would have to wait on line again. Of course, I was not happy with that response and indicated that I already waited on line for almost an hour. I explained that the cashier made a mistake and that it was ridiculous for me to have to wait on line again for their mistake. I waited for the manager who had the nerve to say to me that the line really wasn't as long as it was earlier. After complaining loudly he finally adjusted my items and refunded the difference. The attitude and response of both the associate and manager were horrible.
