OGDEN, UTAH -- Very disappointed to know that Dillard's doesn't take care of its own employees, which is sad because as a customer you build a good relationship with the sales personal and it makes shopping experiences more pleasurable when you can go in and see a familiar face and know that not only is that one person going to help you in making you purchase choice, but you are actually helping that person out also with the sale....but too bad that Dillard's forces their employees to sale, sale, sale, or lose their jobs and livelihood, making things hard on their families....won't shop Dillard's any longer, will take my business to a department store that actually cares about their employees--as humans and not just the $$$$ they bring in...Dillard's attitude to its employees seems very Un-American!

It's a sales job. All sales job's require their employees sell sell sell.

Can't help but notice a lack of specific examples of how badly Dillard's allegedly treats it's employees. I would also expect that a person who works in sales would be tasked with selling merchandise, and if that person was not meeting expectations that person would be let go.

I don't understand this type of logic. Maybe someone can explain it to me. A customer has sympathy for an employees position and their solution is to hurt that employee even more by refusing to shop where that employee works. Seems couterproductive to me.

What America have you been living in? It seems the very definition of America is "sell sell sell."

I gave my two week notice to the Store Manager in written form. Was called to the office to sign papers and sign my review where I got a raise then he verbally accosted me saying I was a job hopper and I was not leaving on good terms. He told me never to shop in his store and then had me escorted out of the building. How embarrassing as I have never been treated so rudely before. Do not work for Dillards in SWFL !
