Pep boys - Don't trust there recomendations "ripped off"

On August 20, 2012 I took my car for the maintenance service oil change at the Pep Boys store near my home located in Altamonte Springs, FL. I had previously done a satisfactory maintenance service for my vehicle at this store and even bought the wiper blades for my car there recently. But this time my whole customer service experienced was terrible. I had to wait more than an hour for the service and I didn’t receive the “service done” sticker for my car. Most importantly I almost got “rip off” by your ASE-certified technician and customer service employee. I was told that the rotation of the tire of my car was not being performed because the car needed three new tires, and that the front passenger tire was in very bad conditions. They gave me an estimate for the service of $691.17. I paid the $46.63 for the oil change service and left the store extremely worried and concern for my safety. At home I was able to neither rest nor sleep thinking about my finances and safety.
The following day I spent hours researching and pricing tires for my car. I took my car to Costco. To my surprise the technician indicated that my vehicle only had one tire in bad condition. I received a third opinion at “Mike New and Used Tires “the technician also said my car only had one bad tire. According to both automobile technicians I could wait one year to replace the three tires of my car.
I’m extremely disappointed by the poor level of ethics, professionalism and dishonesty that I received for being a female customer. I lost all my confidence in Pep Boys and I will not recommend it to any of my friends and family members to visit your stores.
