We Can't Fill Your Prescription CVS Store #6376
Vyvanse - Complaint
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY -- My daughter, was prescribed Vyvanse 40mg. The first prescription was filled at Walgreens on 9/12/12.She tried the medicine on Thurs. 9/13/12.She had a bad reaction to it & her doctor gave me a script for a lower dose, Vyvanse 20mg on Fri. 9/14/12. Since I originally had the first one filled at Walgreens, I went back there & they were out. This was at 8 am. Cvs is right across the street so I took the script there to see if they had it. This was at 9:30am. They said it was in stock & they would have it ready by 2pm. I told them what had happened & they said it shouldn't be a problem.
Well I came to pick it up, at 8pm, they hadn't called the insurance & told me that they would contact them Saturday. I called Saturday because the doctor stated we should try it over the weekend to see how she does with it. The insurance dept was closed. Called Monday & spoke with Jeremy in pharmacy, he stated they couldn't fill it because insurance wouldn't pay for it. He assured me that the insurance would pay for it after 30 days. Well, I couldn't wait 30 days. I picked up script took to Walgreens all the way across town and they filled it with no hassle. It only took a two minute phone call to get it approved. My questions is why CVS couldn't do the same thing?? Liars!
