Dell offered a $400.00 gift card to be used on Dell products only which was fine. They took a very long time to respond to the fact that I never received I'd and finally when I did (email notification) that the time to use it had expired even though one of the statements said that there was no expiration date. I tried for months to resolve this talking with their wonderful customer reps in India (being fececious) to no avail. Have stopped using Dell products both at home and at my office. When I asked for Ana American representative I was told that there was no contact in the USA.

Welcome to corporate america. Where product reliability and faithfulness dont matter anymore. Its all about how to make the most money in the least possible way...in your case, screwing you out of your 400 dollar gift card.
