Orbitz took something away from me that I can never regain..
Flight - Complaint
Orbitz has taken away from me something I can never get back. I booked my flight online yesterday September 21st. My flight was from mco to bkk. The purpose of my flight was to rush to Thailand to see my grandmother who was diagnosed with cancer and doctors only gave her a few weeks to live. After paying nearly $400 to have my passport expedited, is booked my flight through Orbitz. The site had given me difficulties retrieving information all day. I went through each prompt, all the way through passenger information and payment screen, then the site kept trying to load and eventually timed out. I assumed my flight had went through because I've booked for the company I work for and had that same thing happen previously but still received confirmation. I tried to check for confirmation today and there still wasn't anything sent to my email. I called and spoke to a representative who told me there was no record of my booking, spoke with a supervisor and then a manager all who said the same thing. The fare had over doubled within a day. I cannot afford the new fare so I have not only lost out on the $400 for my passport, I've lost something that can never be replaced, seeing my grandmother alive for the last time.
