ELMHURSR, ILLINOIS -- I purchased a new house in February, 2012, it has a chamberlain garage opener installed. Opener worked for 1 month. Stopped working completely. Installer told me the main board was defective and replacement parts were not available. Called Chamberlain and was told indeed repair parts were not availabe. After over 2 months without opener, they agreed to send a different opener.

Changed out opener and it ran 1 week, then would not close sometimes. Company than said it was safety sensors and gave me a link with instructions to test sensors. They passed all tests and link said next step was changes main board. Company implied that I had not done tests correctly, they sent me new sensors. I installed new sensors and that did not change anything. Opener still does not close at random times.

Company will not return my efforts to contact them. Bottom line opener has worked 5 weeks out of 7 months. Very poor product and customer service.
