LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- The first 3 times this frig died, it was due to a defective conrol board. This time, the fail signiture is the same, so I suspect the 4th control board has gone bad. You think there's a design problem !!

GE has offerred to sell me another frig for $1000.00. What a joke. I want a replacement........at their expense.

We rebuilt our house in 2007 after a Tornado, and bought all GE appliances. Since then, the frig has died 4 times, the dryer start switch has gone bad, the washing machine died, the dishwasher had a recall because it could start a fire, the microwave caught on fire, and the oven door window leaks.

GE makes the WORSE appliances on the market. They should be prohibited from doing business.

It's weird, I have all GE appliances from 1995, and they have been extremely reliable.

Appliance makers in general seem to have cheapened their appliances in the past decade, and GE is no exception. Since GE has decided to keep their appliance division, maybe they will get their act together and reverse the trend. I'm sorry to hear about your experience.

I bought all GE Monogram appliances for my kitchen in 2006 including built in Fridge, DW, Wine Cooler, Warming Drawer, Range, and Island Hood. Not to mention a washer and dryer. I could not agree more with purple worm comments. GE = JUNK.
